The first hours
Families need answers, and responders need one record
Reunification is one essential service within a Friends and Relatives Center and Family Assistance Center (FRC/FAC) operation. In the first hours after an incident, families need answers and responders need a coordinated process. Authorized agencies need one reliable record of who is safe and where.
How it works
From the first report to ongoing case management
- 1
Take in every report
Reports come in from families and from partner agencies: hospitals, shelters, law enforcement and the venue or carrier. Each person gets one record, and duplicates are flagged before they confuse the picture.
- 2
Track status and reunite
Authorized staff update each person’s status as they are located, treated, sheltered or reunited, and everyone working the FRC/FAC works from the same record. Families get answers from one source.
- 3
Hand off to case management
When the FRC/FAC stands down, nothing is lost. Each household’s record carries into family assistance and disaster case management, with recovery plans and referrals in the same system.
Set up before the incident, so the platform is configured to your FRC/FAC plan and familiar to your team on the day it matters.
